This policy document is intentially  very short.  If you are a student or parent/guardian of a student reading this and think we are missing something feel free to drop us a line info@kineticbjj.co.uk  

Our goal with this document was to make it super easy and fast to read and not require the patience of a saint or a law degree to understand it.

1. OUR COMMITMENT 
We are committed to creating a safe training environment for all students, especially children and vulnerable adults.

4. INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS 
All instructors must have: 
– Enhanced DBS check 
– Registration with BMABA or equivalent recognized governing body 
– Current first aid certification 
– Safeguarding training 
– Proven martial arts experience 

5. CLASS SAFETY 
– Clear student-to-instructor ratios 
– Age-appropriate training 
– No head contact in specified levels 
– Color-coded body zone system for contact 
– Regular equipment checks 
– Parent/guardian must have the option to stay for kids aged 4-7 

6. REPORTING CONCERNS 
If you have concerns: 
1. Write down what happened 
2. Tell the Safeguarding Lead 
3. Keep it confidential 
4. Follow venue emergency procedures if needed 

7. CLASS-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES 
Kids (4-7 years): 
– Parent should stay for first class
– Structured environment 
– Age-appropriate methods 

Youth (7-14 years): 
– Clear progression system 
– Supervised contact only 

Teens (14+): 
– Structured transition to adult classes 
– Modified sparring rules 

8. REVIEW
